Yoga in Happy Valley
Yoga Classes in Happy Valley are offered in New Seasons Market.  Find the community room at the back of the store next to the Wellness desk.  Class times are Monday and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am, Saturday at 11:00 am and Wednesday evening at 6:00pm . These are regular Hatha yoga classes suitable for all levels.  If you are new to Happy Valley this is not only the most welcoming store you will find but also the most welcoming and friendly group of yogis.

What a great opportunity under one roof! Take a yoga class to nurture mind, body and spirit and then nourish your body with the best fresh orgainic foods.  The bakery and deli offers amazing stuff to tempt the palate and the weekend free sampling is always a good chance to try out new foods and products.  Take it from one who has tried and tested and enjoyed!!1
Yoga in Sandy
Yoga for Every Body ..All Levels...Mondays 4:00-5:15 pm
In this class you will work with yoga postures and breathing techniques to stretch and  strengthen as you bring balance to your mind and body. Have FUN and lose your STRESS! Wear comfortable clothing and arrive with an open mind and heart. This is an on-going series. You can join anytime.

Kundalini Yoga...Monday 6:00-7:15 pm
Experience Kundalini yoga through it's system of postures, breath, mudras (finger and hand gestures), mantras (chanting and sound) and meditation.  A series or group of postures, called Kryias work on the different systems of the body to bring about a specific outcomes helping to bring balance to the body-physically, mentally and emotionally.  In past classes we have worked on the Immune, Lymph, Circulatory and Glandular systems as well as the sciatic nerve and navel center.  This is a really fun class.  Try it once! You may get hooked!

Yin Yoga... Tuesdays, 6:00-7:30 pm
Yin Yoga utilizes floor poses, done slowly and safely for any practicioner, to stretch and stimulate the deep connective tissue and find the natural range of motion in joints. Learn a nurturing practice with benefits of flexibility, relaxation, renewal and peace. This series is ongoing. You can join anytime.

Beginning Yoga....Wednesday, 6:00-7:30 pm
Yoga regardless of your experience or age will bring the ability to find peace and contentment.  Hidden energy, flexibility, deep relaxation and self confidence can be achieved from practicing this ancient system of care.  Start taking better care of yourself today and sign up for this class.  Don't wait!!!

Morning  Yoga for All Levels

Get your day off to a great start in these fun classes. Yoga aids circulation, digestion, respiration, tones organs, improves balance, strength and flexibility. So why not give it a try?  Don't worry about being too inflexible! It's not about twisting yourself into pretzel poses.  It's about learning what's right for your body, finding your edge, growing in awarness and bringing balance to your body, mind and everyday living.

Weekend warriors and outdoor enthusiasts?  The Saturday morning class is a great way to prepare for the  Ski slopes and Winter fun or just get a great start to your weekend.  Get those legs, abs and arms in shape so you can prevent injuries when you challenge your body in pursuit of outdoor activities.  You can join or drop-in anytime.

Gentle Yoga....Thursday 6:00-7:15 pm
Release the stresses and tensions of your day with this blend of Hatha and Restorative yoga. You will stretch, lengthen, strengthen and balance your body and then release totally with supported restorative postures.  This is a great way to end your day. Suitable for beginners and beyond.

Workshops and Special Series


The special series and workshops are special events and as such require a commitment from a minimum number of students before the teacher can commit to hosting the event,  so please register early if you have any interest.  Fee must be paid at time of registration.  Monies will be refunded if the event is canceled.  If you have not registered in advance and want to do a drop-in, please confirm with Therese before you show up 503-819-0253


 
 
 
 Fun Events, Celebrations, Parties!!!
Celebrating a birthday or special event?  Choose the healthy alternative for your child.  Kids are natural yogis.  Watch their creative juices bubble as they turn their bodies into the shape of animal yoga poses such as the frog, elephant, cat, cow, crocodile etc.  Not only will they have fun but it may plant the seed for healthier choices in the future.

Adults can join the fun too!  If Yoga is an important part of your life, why not expose your friends to yoga by having a yoga party instead of the traditional birthday bash? 
 
Extend your
